The award-winning RF1903 Sideways Sofa from Carl Hansen helps one break the ice and break the strict architectural lines of the room with a cozy, asymmetrical design. Creator Rikke Frost’s work sees classic materials imagined into functional modern designs. Frost starts with a foundation of wood that curves around for a prominent armrest on one side. The deep grain texture and solid feeling of wood accentuate the airy, delightful paper cord fitted to it. The upholstered cushioning produces thoughtful curves that invite one to gather around and enjoy a long conversation. The cushioning offers a soft yet firm feel that offers plenty of support.
